Why Alteralab exists
Longer lives should come with more opportunities to move, connect, contribute, and enjoy everyday routines. Yet many ageing experiences are difficult to access, unfamiliar, or designed without enough input from the people expected to use them.
Alteralab works on that gap with practical programmes, inclusive technology, and collaborative learning.
How we approach the work
- Community first: begin with people, routines, and context.
- Clear by design: use plain language and approachable interactions.
- Joy matters: create experiences people want to return to.
- Learn responsibly: test focused questions and avoid overstating early results.
Who we work with
We welcome conversations with senior communities, caregivers, community organisers, businesses, service providers, researchers, public bodies, and aligned partners. The right starting point depends on the challenge, setting, and readiness of everyone involved.
